Tavolàta Sunday Feast: Vegetable Bounty!

Chef Addam Buzzalini has a lovely early summer menu planned for Sunday, June 4, full of fresh produce punctuated by a few choice proteins. Squash blossoms, wild cress, fava beans, and summer truffle will all be making an appearance, as well as Copper River salmon. This will be the last feast before Tavolàta takes a break for the summer—Sunday Feasts will return in September.

Fundraiser for Lamar Whitfield

On Tuesday, May 30, Marine Hardware is hosting an evening of fundraising for Lamar Whitfield, a local delivery driver who was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of Lymphoma. Whitfield has been undergoing chemotherapy and unable to work since his diagnosis, and the Ethan Stowell Restaurant community wanted to help out. Whitfield’s employer, Elliott Bay Distributing, will also be involved in the evening—which will be a fun night of tacos and margaritas for a good cause. Stoup Brewing is also jumping in for the cause with their great Pilsner available for just $4 a pint.

Bramling Beer Feast: Fremont Brewing

Bramling Cross is excited to host a beer feast with Fremont Brewing on Monday, May 15. Chef Travis and the Fremont brewers will collaborate on a family-style dinner that showcases seasonal produce alongside a fun selection of beers. Both the chef and the brewers will be in attendance to talk about the food and the beers throughout the meal.

The meal includes five of Fremont’s beers plus a beer cocktail with dessert.

Tavolàta’s Chef Addam is competing in Cochon555 on Sunday, April 30th. The event hosts 5 chefs, 5 pigs, and 5 winemakers. The event is a nose-to-tail competition dedicated to supporting family farmers and educating chefs and diners about the agricultural importance of utilizing Old World livestock. Marine Hardware Anniversary Wine Dinner with Maso Poli

Marine Hardware is celebrating one year on Ballard Avenue with a special five course wine dinner on Wednesday, March 15th. The meal will be paired with wines from the three estates that fall under the Maso Poli umbrella and winery owner Romina Togn will be in attendance to talk about the Italian wines as the dinner progresses. There will be two seatings: one at 6pm and one at 8:30pm, and the dinner is $85/person, including wines.
