Angela & Ethan Co-Chair United Way of King County Fundraising Campaign
In 2017, we are excited to celebrate ten years of food and wine at Ethan Stowell Restaurants—and we couldn’t have done it without our great team and all of you! Over time we’ve become just as dedicated to our community as we are to good food, so to celebrate our first decade we are spending a full year focused on giving back.
Ethan & Angela are very excited to chair United Way’s annual fundraising campaign. United Way is striving to build a community where people have homes, students graduate, and families are financially stable—and ESR is committed to helping.
Did you know that 2 in 10 kids worry about where their next meal will come from? Let’s change that. Visit uwkc.org to learn more about the mission and join us in making a contribution that is meaningful to you. We’ll be celebrating next spring with a big bash for anyone who gives $1,000 or more throughout the year.
Helping Our Community
Philanthropy is a foundational value at Ethan Stowell Restaurants. Ethan and Angela Stowell very much believe in building their community up, and have worked to integrate giving back into the way they run the restaurant group. They strive to bolster Seattle as a whole—from the homeless to local politicians to children’s hospitals, with ESR donating over $250,000 in time, materials, and money each year.
In 2012 the Stowells founded Eat Run Hope, a 5K and chef tasting event, which raised over $235,000 for fetal health research over three years. ESR is committed to annual events like SMooCH and participates in fundraising events for United Way of King County, Seattle Children’s Hospital, Russell Wilson’s WhyNotYou Foundation, FareStart, the Pike Place Market Foundation, and many more.
