Chef Kyl and the crew over at Anchovies & Olives are putting on their lovely Festa dei Sette Pesci again this year. The traditional Christmas Eve meal will be held one day early, on Wednesday, December 23. 

Festa dei Sette Pesci—The Feast of the Seven Fishes—is a long-lived tradition of eating seafood on Christmas Eve that’s thought to have originated down in Southern Italy, but is now an adopted tradition the world over, with families Italian and otherwise celebrating the holiday with a big, briny feast.

Oysters on the Half Shell with scallion mignonette
Ahi Crudo with kumquat, parsnip, vanilla, and olive
Fried Squid with mint and chili vinegar 
Steamed Manila Clams with chorizo, fennel, and tomato

Pasta

Bigoli with anchovy, chili, garlic, mint, and pangrattato
Tonnarelli with King Crab, sofrito, and chili

Whole Grilled Branzino with heirloom squash and pomegranate

Blood Orange Panna Cotta with blood orange compote and shortbread crumble
