Angela & Ethan to Co-Chair United Way of King County Fundraising Campaign
Wow—we are so proud to announce that Angela and Ethan are co-chairing the 2017-2018 fundraising campaign for United Way of King County! The campaign kicked off on July 1 and will run through June 30, 2018.
Jon Fine, the CEO of United Way of King County, says: “I’m so pleased that Angela and Ethan Stowell are leading our fundraising campaign this year. They are well known in our community and are incredible supporters of United Way. I look forward to their great energy and passion in engaging people in a new way to inspire giving.”
As some of the youngest co-chairs in United Way’s history, the Stowells are excited to bring some new fundraising approaches to this year’s campaign. The Stowells have long been supporters of United Way: Angela joined the board in 2015, and they’ve jumped in on the All-Star Softball Classic, Day of Caring, Community Resource Exchange, and Count Us In. All of us at ESR really admire United Way—it’s a great organization that’s working to solve some of our region’s toughest challenges, like homelessness and poverty. They’re committed to building a community where people have homes, students graduate, and families are financially stable.
Over their years of involvement, the Stowells have seen how much people love to step up and help better the community. That’s why they’re spearheading the effort to reinvent United Way’s long-standing volunteer event, Day of Caring. This year’s Day and Night of Caring will be on September 15, and will pair the state’s largest day of volunteering with a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign and an evening celebration at Safeco Field!
We are also celebrating the 10th anniversary of Ethan Stowell Restaurants this year, and Angela and Ethan are so glad that they can celebrate that milestone with a year of focused action that will help the city that has supported them over the last decade.
